Howdy! I’m Jen.
My Background
While I currently reside in Lexington, Kentucky…I was born in a suburb of Miami, Florida and grew up in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area of Texas. Following graduation from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas…I spent the majority of the next eight years back in the DFW metroplex before moving to Roanoke, Virginia. After spending twelve years in Virginia…my corporate career in healthcare enabled me to relocate to the bluegrass state in 2017. I live with my best friend, Marie…who also happens to be my mom…and our two mini poodles Cocoa and Archie.

My Why
Life is a series of choices and experiences. When strung together…they tell our story. Photographs are frozen moments in time that illustrate our story in this book we call “Life.”
After my father passed away in 2001…I began living my life with more purpose. I became more focused on serving others…planning meaningful experiences…and making memories with those I love and care about most. I also became more intentional about pausing to capture these moments in photographs. That intention became a passion in 2021…when my late love was diagnosed with lung cancer. That’s when my chronicling of our journey together through pictures went into overdrive. Our time on earth together may have been short…but I have a library full of images to keep his memory alive until we meet again!
Since he’s been gone…I have continued down a purposeful path of self-discovery. Along the way I have grown to LOVE MYSELF…FEEL BEAUTIFUL in my own skin…and BELIEVE that I can do anything I put my heart into.
I didn’t find photography…it found me after an incredible Flying Dress Photoshoot experience I had in Hawaii. It was a series of choices and experiences…coupled with celebrating a milestone birthday after overcoming so much in my life…that led me to invest in that experience.
That experience turned my passion for photography into a calling. A calling to capture the intentional pauses of others…while delivering an exceptional experience that results in lasting memories my clients will cherish for years to come.
